This place is huge. Even if all of our boxes were unpacked, the rooms would still look empty. We really have no business living in such a nice house, but it’s fun to pretend that we have the means to afford it. Kev’s aunt actually hooked us up with the house. She got in contact with one of her old pastors who had moved from Crown Point about a year ago, but was still trying to sell his house. The house is still on the market, but Jeremy (the guy who owns the house) told us that it wasn’t a hot item, and that there had been maybe 1 showing in the last month. Jeremy was very willing to work with us and basically let us set our own rent which was great. Last Saturday we got a large uhaul, loaded up all of our things and moved into our new house. In the midst of unpacking, the realtor for the house called to inform us that they were going to show the house the following day. Since my mom taught me that it is a sin to have people over to a messy house, Kev and I had to work real hard the rest of the day to get things somewhat organized and put away. For some reason I thought that living in a house that’s for sale wouldn’t be a problem for me however I’m realizing that spontaneity is not in my character. Since last Saturday, the house has been shown 2 times and there’s another scheduled for this weekend. Jeremy never mentioned that they recently reduced the price by $20,000, obviously making it more appealing.
